My how the time flies. I am not doing well with this blogging thing. Well, lots of things have happened since my last blog. We are having our second little one in april and it is going to be a little boy. This has been a great pregnancy. I have enjoyed working and having neal stay home with aubrey. I love when I come home from work and hear the little feet running to greet me at the door. Neal is still going to school for his master's degree and really loving his classes.

The pictures you see up above are of Aubrey riding a horse for the first time in november. I had a work function to go to in Tucson so neal and aubrey came with me and this is what they did while I was with work. She is getting so big. She is learning so much everyday.

For the last couple of months...

I am so sorry, I have been really busy to blog. Lots going on.

I am working full time now as a special education teacher

I am also training for a half marathon that is happening on Oct. 22 here in Phoenix.

Neal is going back to school and loving it.

Rewind to Family Reunion

Last week Neal, Aubrey and I went to Utah for a week for Neal's family Reunion. I have family in Vernal Utah so we were able to visit my family and his family in one trip. It was wonderful. The drive up was so nice and so scenic. We loved the time we were able to spend with family and people we got to meet and reconnect with. Neal and I got to go mountain biking, and canoeing and fishing and swimming and played games. We had such a blast with family. Here are some pictures of the drive and a couple of adorable aubrey at the reunion.

Aubrey's First Birthday!!!!

Aubrey had her first birthday party today. We had friends and family there. It was lots of fun for aubrey and the kids that came. She got lots of presents. She got clothes from grandma Reiersen and my mom, bath toys from Christine and Adam, a tutu ( you can see in some of the pictures that she is wearing it, Thanks Erin for that) a play phone and play keys, she got a fridge toy while mom is cooking dinner from my mom, some books from my mom and a puzzle from one of the kids that I babysit. We are very thankful for everything we have. We are very blessed as a family. This morning we had waffles for breakfast, that is one of aubrey's favorite things to eat. Daddy made some raspberry syrup for our waffles and she ate quite a bit when that was on it!!! Then we got everything ready to go and got aubrey to her party and it was so fun. We had balloons and decorations. We opened presents and then we had cake. We sang happy birthday and then I helped her blow out the candles. Aubrey loved the cake, she just put her whole hand in the icing and just looked at it and closed her hand and opened it and thought it was so fun to have icing on her hand. Then she ate about half of her piece and she was done. She liked the cake but it didn't seem like she really loved the cake, you know...
All and all it has been a great year to have her in our lives. She is such a blessing to neal and I. I am not sure if I would be as patient and willing to change as much if I didn't have her in my life. I love you aubrey more than you can ever know!!!! Happy Birthday!!!

Hiking

So Neal and I are trying to get more active. Well, we both enjoy hiking so we decided to go again today and take aubrey with us obviously. I couldn't go and do things like this without her. It is really hard for me to go and run without her. So, we went hiking and we took this stroller with us instead of carrying her on our backs. It is so much better for the trails we went on today. Well, we went about 4.26 miles and we were going along and I was pushing and just decided to start running on the trail with Aubrey. So I started and then stopped and then decided to keep going and then I just ran the rest of the way. I loved it. Well, you may be wondering about the difference in Aubrey being awake and asleep. So when we were hiking that is when she is awake and ready to see everything. The strange thing is she fell asleep for the last leg when we were running. I guess she is used to the fast pace of me running so I just put her to sleep. We had a lot of fun and it was free for us since we have an annual pass.

11 Month Pictures

Here we are... It is May 29th and Aubrey is 11 months old. You never believe it when they are born but she has grown up so fast. I can't believe how big she is now. This is a new dress that my mom sent her. I think she is the cutest thing ever but I am partial probably!!

First Time with Spaghetti

It was May 13,2011. For the first time in a while, I actually thought about dinner and what I would make for me and Aubrey. I usually don't and have some cereal or something after Aubrey eats and goes to bed. But today I felt like making spaghetti. Aubrey loved it so much.
